Claw House is ideally situated to visit the delights of Devon and Cornwall. There is so much to see and do! The coast around Bude is within easy reach with its mixture of small fishing villages, rugged coastline and beautiful, safe sandy beaches which appeal to sand-castle builders and surfers alike. Excellent surfing is available at Bude, Widemouth Bay and all the way along the coast to Newquay. Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are both nearby. These moorland landscapes, dominated by dramatic granite tors and with a wealth of wildlife and archaeological sites, can be explored on foot or horseback.
Claw House is an ideal base to tour the rest of the south west peninsular. The Eden Project and nearby Lost Gardens of Helligan are within a three-quarter hour drive. The Tarka Trail also provides good local cycling.
