Jane and Darran Stockley run this cosy and conveniently located farmhouse bed and breakfast two miles from the little market town of Holsworthy in North Devon, close to the border with Cornwall. We also have two self-catering holiday cottages available for weekly let and out of season short breaks. We manage a family-run small holding on the property's land which stretches to five acres. A warm and friendly atmosphere awaits all who come to stay with us.

All inclusive golfing breaks can be arranged with discounted green fees at Holsworthy Golf Club. See our Golfing Breaks page for further details.
Located in the centre of the pretty Devon village of Clawton, and overlooked by the village church of St Leonard, Claw House is a stone and cob built Georgian farmhouse dating back some two hundred years and believed to have once been the village coaching inn. Experience the characterful delights of uneven floors and walls and acutely angled door frames. Not a right angle to be found! The features include slate and tiled floors, a kitchen range, a wood burning stove in the lounge and a fire place in the dining room with its original clome oven. A number of local country inns offer excellent food and drink, including the Village Inn at Ashwater, the Pint and Post at St Giles on the Heath the Molesworth Arms at Pyworthy and the Arscott Arms at Chapmanswell.
Plenty of secure off-road parking is available at the rear of the property along with secure bicycle storage. There is a drying/boot room for guests to use.
Set within its own extensive grounds, visitors can enjoy the flower garden or a game of croquet on the lawn, take a stroll through the woods, play Pooh-sticks from the bridge over our babbling brook, or simply sit and relax by the summer house.
With 'help' from our two children, we farm the land as a self sufficient small-holding, growing fruit and vegetables and rearing chickens, geese, turkeys, pigs and sheep. The animal population is boosted by our friendly pets - ponies, cats, rabbits and Frankie & Howie the sheepdogs. So if you have children they would be made to feel very welcome - and may even wish to help feed the chickens or do a spot of mucking out!! The produce from the smallholding and other local wares will be sampled by our guests at breakfast, along with a range of home-made jams.
